The world has been changed pretty much and we are all looking forward to take more new media to make the life much more easier but I believe people should think what could the media can affects/harm in our lives.
As we know public and mass media, are very important to society to processing that create, distribute and share culture since the world has been and will be more convenience by making things possible for communication between societies and individuals but there are certain facts which makes a lot of gaps instead breaking gaps between any relationships who affected by taking new media technology. It makes a part between present generation and old generation. For example, present generations take more information and more in to mass media such as video games or computer which sources of entertainment most of their time, won’t be able to observe any real experience or try to have some conversation with anyone who dose not understand their own world with new generation who are laggards or non-adopters. Everyone is too busy with their work, getting more isolated as a group in a way.
However, the developments in media technologies will some day result in a society in which all its members are equal because in fact we do still have distinction as racial, color, gender and class. Even we try to believe that people are all equal but still we cannot deny the problem of distinction but since media technology came in our lives we can chat with all different kind of nationality without seeing each other and receive messages simultaneously at the same location as we call it public-private such as film at a theater, TV, radio, computer and so on. Media technology gave us high in social presence like personal, sociable and warm.
Media technology is a source of entertainment and education which gives us experiences without going out. Some students do not go to school to study. They can actually study by computer and be able to have their education. Later in the future, we would not need to go to school or go to office to work because anyone can do their works by using computer at home which means we won’t be able to communicate or social without seeing each other which could break down the distinction of racial, sex and color bar. Then, we all to be same no matter where you are from or who you are so, All the members would be equal in any society in the future.

In current decades, arts are developing rapidly and becoming significant in our lives. Regardless of whether it is a film, paintings, books or music performances, they are all highly promoted. Consequently, copyright is significant in our lives. It is a protection that covers published and unpublished literary, scientific and artistic works, whatever the form of expression, provided such works are fixed in a tangible or material form. As a general example, if anyone creates information or artwork, the copyright is very important. It has to be displayed because the copyright states the creator, and could come in the form of money if the creator sells the information in a book, CD, or subscription Internet service.
There are many copyright issues that we can find everywhere, in order to avoid such difficulties, it is important to be clear about matters at the beginning. For the first case, if my boss gives me a book published in the UK and required me to utilize pictures from the book for our new CD. Furthermore, I am asked to change the colours and the size of the pictures to fit with our logo. Fortunately, I know a person who is a friend of one of the authors. I asked her contact one of the authors and she responded that he is in Nepal trekking and that he wouldn’t mind because it’s free publicity. She said to just scan them out of the book and use them. In order to resolve this issue, I am to ensure my boss or company will contact the copyright owner of the book and request for rights to an Image Reproduction Licence. Ensuring both parties between author and publisher have a written agreement with their signatures. (The Arts Law Centre of Australia, 2004)
For example, If I am flat out editing and finishing my video production and the deadline is looming. Luckily an old friend is available to do the titles and some of the graphics for a reasonable rate. When it’s done through, I have a disagreement about money as it took him longer than expected and he thinks that he should get paid more, which I am unable to afford. To outline some alternative strategies, firstly is to avoid this problem in the first place by having a written contract agreement with that friend such as a Cast and Crew Agreement. (The Arts Law Centre of Australia, 2004) Stating terms such as the due date of the work and payments with signatures from both parties. This can be proved in any case rather than verbal contract agreement and avoid such problems.
Further example is the case of ‘fair use’ between Princeton University Press and Michigan Document Services, Inc. In this case, a photocopying service was sued for copyright infringement for making “coursepacks” for students at the University of Michigan. The coursepack is a compilation of readings chosen by a professor that are reproduced and bound together by a commercial copyshop. Although there is an arrangement available for the payment of copyright fees to publishers when reproducing materials in a coursepack, the copyshop in this case refused to pay such fees. The copyshop owner claimed that the creation of coursepacks for students was a fair use under the Copyright Act. The Sixth Circuit, in an en banc opinion, analysed the fair use factors and found that there was no fair use. (BitLaw Resource on Technology Law, 1996)
As you can tell now that, it is always safer to take the time and effort to contact the owner and request formal permission to use the owner’s work before copying their work or ideas in any events. It is very important that artists understand exactly what the terms of a contract are and what the other party or parties are required to do, what benefits they can expect to receive, and when they benefits are to be expected.

Ethics are everywhere and are significant in both private lives and public engagement in our society where moral and confliction areas that exist beyond legal responsibilities.
As an example of a cultural conflict in the 1920s, Baldwin Spencer who made extensive audio field recordings of Aboriginal people reports both appreciation and fear resulting from his efforts. At least one Warrumungu elder claimed that Spencer’s camera extracted vital essence from his liver, threatening his life (Michaels, 1994, ‘A primer of restrictions on picture-taking in traditional areas of Aboriginal Australia’, Victoria). This present that one could fear of cameras and accusations of spirit theft. Or that there could be a certain sense to the proposition that using someone else’s life as a subject to be recorded, reproduced and distributed is a kind of appropriation. Such appropriation typically benefits the photographer more than the subject. Therefore it is important that every society regulates the recording and publication of images of its citizenry to protect certain human rights valued by that society not to be central and crucial for any human being.
For the ethical concerns of legal such as in the case of Concetta Petrillo, who was charged with indecently recording a child under the age of thirteen years. This moral censorship of art was a publicly debated issue in Perth, and this may have promoted the over-reaction to her photographs by the police and photographic laboratory that developed her films. After two years of court and accumulation of enormous legal bills for defending her innocence, Concetta Petrillo’s case closed and she was judged not guilty (Archer, 1998, ‘Crossing the fine line: the case of Concetta Petrillo’, Victoria). I agree with Allison that, “we are living in a climate of fear, where images are no longer being judged by their artistic merits, but rather on the desires that they may arouse”. I believe that in today’s society, the artists struggle with freedom of creating arts but fears of being judged concerning ethics like Concetta Petrillo’s case.
As for my understanding of ethics, I believe that it is a set of moral ethics which with respect to right or wrong in behaviour. Everyone has developed their own idea of what principles they should go by and what they think is right and wrong depending on their ethical and cultural up-bringing. In addition, ethics are been influenced by important people in one’s life, religion or certain crucial experiences. I think a common ethical issue is when a professional comes across a situation which might appear to be a conflict of interest. But, a more vexing ethical situation is one in which right or wrong are not clear or when doing the ‘wrong’ thing might be the ‘right’ thing to do. Moreover, it is important to be aware and to have a good choice of ethics, it is significant not only in making films or documentaries for example but in all aspects of life because it is an essential part of the foundation on which of a civilized society is build upon, as well as to reflect on the possible risks, outcomes and implications for humans, environment, political and cultural implications, and the future.

I think 3G mobile has an exciting yet important role in emerging network technology, it will change the way people think about communications, the path for carriers to reach 3G is more evolutionary than the previous two generations of wireless have been.
Through the applications and services, you can access position location and mapping, audio and video content, application downloading over the airwaves, multimedia messaging, new & info, fun & entertainment, sports, video conferencing, multi-user games and much more such as LBS (Location-Based Service), PMM (Personal and Mass Media), Application Downloading, Video Conferencing, Pricing and Metrics, Metrics, Enterprise Connectivity, Internet Connectivity (On 3, 2005, “Be the one who’s always connected on 3”).
This 3G mobile technology communications industry is evolving from being primarily voice telephony service providers to delivering a combination of voice, information and audio-visual services. Improved network technology and software in 3G will improve the range of services and applications available, particularly by increasing the speed at which services will run over these networks. This will improve the usability and interactivity of services, such as downloading of audio and video clips, booking of tickets, banking and payment transactions and location-based services, finding places. It’s getting more sophisticated and it’s as good as carrying a personal computer in your pocket. 3G mobile phone technology will definitely become stronger as it will help mould phones into personal compact computers.
Today, we are able to communicate and actually see each other through the mobile in terms of seeing each other’s surroundings, locations and situations. With video talk service, we no longer need to travel to actually see the situation or meet in person to communicate. So in essence this has brought the world even closer together, or the normal ‘small world’ even smaller. This revolution has developed a standard phone into something more. Eventually its development could lead towards a device equivalent to our standard personal computers. It is possible that we would no longer need/desire to buy computers if 3 mobile phones have the same ability to access the internet or create a document like our pc’s do. With the fast growing technology on phones, I believe that mobile phones might eventually be able to satisfy all our needs and replace the computer in the future.
