Module with Yasmin Kentera - “Press Kit”

It was a great module with ‘Yasmin Kentera’ from ABC. She taught us how to write Press Kit and got couple of samples of press kit that we can also learn from.

I have written the list I must remember to write my press kit. I have to write press kit for my collaborative as well as individual project.

Press Kit
-Covering Page (Image/Font)
- Short/long synopsis
- Character descriptions (What I liked about character/Story)
- Cast list
- Production Company Name
- Contact details of Production Company
- Production biography
- Cast Biography
- Photos (Image of Production)
- Background (Why I am doing my project)
- Personal Statement

I also had a great chat with Yasmin after class. I got some good advice from her that nothing comes easy as she went through hardship when she was a student but she never quit trying and always think positive. Well, eventually she made it!

I think that going through hardship is pretty normal for students who have to work and study at the same time but the important thing is how many people can actually learn and survive from their hardship? Am I going to be a successful person in future? Am I trying hard enough to make myself secure about my future? I positively think I am trying my very best and I believe I can smile about what I have done.

One of Yasmin’s advices is to find out what I really like to do even it is not related to what I study exactly. I think it is really important to know what I want and keep trying to get the goal I want to achieve. I started thinking about what I want to do and I had to think for a very long time….I am still thinking but there are too many things I want to do and don’t want to do. This is something that I seriously need to figure it out soon.
